Old Acre is a world heritage site featuring: the Knights Halls (the Hospitaller Fortress), The Okashi Museum, the Turkish bath and the Story of the Last Bath Attendant, the Templars' Tunnel, the Ethnography Museum, the "Or Torah" Synagogue, the marina, the restaurants and the Baha'i Gardens, which are every bit as impressive as those in Haifa.
Rosh Hanikra is in the northernmost corner of Israel, on the border between Israel and Lebanon. This astoundingly beautiful site is considered to be one of the wonders of nature thanks to its breathtaking grottoes and waves slamming the rocks.
The Ghetto Fighters' House Museum is located at the Ghetto Fighters Kibbutz. This is a "Holocaust to Revival" Museum with a touristic twist. It is the only museum in the world dedicated to children who perished during the Holocaust and the Yad Layeled Children's Memorial Museum was established there in order to commemorate their memory.
Crusader fortresses such as Yechiam and Montfort, the unique natural wonder of the Cave of the Arch, nature reserves, national parks and JNF sites.
Western Galilee is defined as the cultural Mecca of the north: the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, concerts at the Keshet Eilon Music Center, plays and shows produced and performed at the Acre Theater Center, and the Wall & Tower Museum are all part of the cultural mosaic making up the region.
Western Galilee boasts very developed culinary talents: gourmet restaurants, ethnic restaurants, gallery cafés, homestyle restaurants alongside steadily growing boutique wineries.
Extreme sports activities also play a major role in Western Galilee: jeep tours on fascinating paths, bike tours, tornado boat cruises, kayaks and rappelling add action and spice to any trail.

Western Galilee is accessible via several routes. Other than by private car, the city can be reached by train from anywhere in Israel where there is a train station, including Ben Gurion Airport.
